Just yesterday, NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Zion Williamson will not be returning at any point this season.
Zion broke his foot during an offseason workout prior to the 2021-22 season. Despite hopes that he would return around Christmas last year, multiple setbacks have pushed that expected return date into the indefinite future.
That didn’t stop the injured star from posting a crazy dunk video on Tuesday evening.
Taking to his Instagram story, the former No. 1 overall pick showed off an off-the-backboard, between-the-legs alley-oop.

Fans from around the NBA world are puzzled by this clip.
If Zion is healthy enough to be throwing down these big-time dunks, why can’t he return to the floor this season?
“Foot looks fine to me,” one fan wrote.
“Rumors of Zion demise has been greatly exaggerated,” another said.
“Need a clip of zion and ben simmons doing trick shots n shit together while playing zero games,” another added.

Though he may not be coming back this season, hopefully this video is an indication of continued improvement as he heads into Year 4.
