Xavien Howard Reacts To Dolphins Trading For Tyreek Hill

April 7, 2022 by The Spun

Xavien Howard in action for the Miami Dolphins.

The Miami Dolphins recently added all-world wide receiver Tyreek Hill to their ranks, and cornerback Xavien Howard couldn’t be more excited for the idea.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Howard said that he believes he and Hill will make each other better. He pointed out that they’ve already played against each other in college and the NFL, and wants to focus on improving.

“I think we’ll get each other better since I played against him in college and also in the league. I just want to focus on getting each other better. That’s really it,” Howard said.

Howard and Hill were picked several rounds apart in the 2016 NFL Draft, but Hill made his impact faster. However, both of them currently rank among the best at their respective positions.

Xavien Howard has made the Pro Bowl three times in the last four years, leading the NFL in interceptions twice and earning All-Pro honors twice.

Tyreek Hill has made the Pro Bowl in each of his six seasons and is a three-time All-Pro selection. He’s renown for his top-flight speed.

It’s rare that a team has an elite wide receiver and an elite cornerback on the same team. Perhaps iron will sharpen iron for the Miami Dolphins and allow them to reach the playoffs in 2022.

Will Xavien Howard and Tyreek Hill make each other better this coming season?
