Watch: Eagles Player Goes Viral During Rain Storm At Practice

The rain was coming down hard today at MetLife Stadium in New York — and Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce was there to enjoy it.

Refusing to hunker down under cover with the rest of his Philadelphia teammates, the three-time All-Pro center ran around the field as torrential rains poured over the stadium. Briefly disappearing from view, Kelce suddenly quickly came back into frame with a head first slide on the turf.

But, the attempted belly slide turned out to be more of a belly flop.

Video of the hilarious incident is going viral on Twitter.

Along with the rest of his Eagles team, Kelce has been participating in joint practices with the Jets all week. Tonight, the two teams will face off in their final preseason matchup of the year.

Kelce wasn’t the other person out in the rain this evening.

First-year Jets head coach Robert Saleh has a pregame ritual where he runs up and down the stadium stairs before each contest. Despite the brutal weather, the New York coach continued that tradition today.

He’s reportedly been doing this since 2002.

It’s currently POURING at MetLife Stadium… and Saleh is still out there doing his thing.

Even with all of this rain coming down, the MetLife Stadium grounds crew hasn’t covered the field. As a result, the turf is looking pretty waterlogged ahead of tonight’s game.

With these adverse weather conditions, Saleh and first-year Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni may have to reconsider playing time for their starters.

The game is set to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.
