Bengals fans are going to have to wait a few more months to see Joe Burrow throwing passes again, but they got to see their franchise QB toss out the first pitch at today’s Cincinnati Reds game.
Not surprisingly, Burrow threw a strike, nice and easy. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor caught the offering, though he declined to squat behind home plate.

In addition to this being the Reds’ home opener, it’s also the Battle of Ohio. Cincinnati is hosting the Cleveland Guardians in an interleague matchup after splitting a four-game series on the road against Atlanta to start the year.
Thus far, Burrow has not brought the home team any luck. The Reds trail 3-0 in the third inning.
We’ll see if they can come back against the Guardians the way the Bengals did against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
