Duke and North Carolina may be rivals, but there’s still a strong respect between the two programs.
On Saturday night ahead of the Final Four, a heartfelt scene unfolded between North Carolina head coach Hubert Davis and Coach K’s wife, Mickie.
Davis shook her hand and even gave her a hug before the game. Luckily, it was all caught on video.

That’s one classy gesture from the North Carolina head coach. The Tar Heels definitely picked the right guy to succeed Roy Williams.
Despite being in his first year as UNC’s head coach, Hubert Davis hasn’t let the pressure of playing in the Final Four get to him. He’s treating it like any other game.
“Well, in terms of preparation, it’s the same way that we have prepared all year. There’s no difference,” Davis explained, via 247Sports. “The way that we’re preparing for Saturday is the way that we prepared for Brown earlier in the year and against Georgia Tech in our first ACC regular season game. One of the things that I preach to the team all the time is to focus on what is real and what allows us to be the best that we can be, and what is real and what allows us to be the best that we can be is focusing on our preparation for Saturday, our practice, and our play. And those are the only things we’re talking about. Those are the only things that we’re looking at. And that’s going to put us in a position to play our best on Saturday night.”
