Duke is favored heading into this Saturday’s matchup against rival UNC at the Final Four. That seems to be okay with Tar Heels big man Armando Bacot.
During today’s press conference, Bacot indicated that the public expecting Duke to win and sleeping on the Heels is something that he and his teammates welcome.
“We kind of fuel off that, people counting us out and telling us what we can’t do,” Bacot said. “That’s something as a team we really like to hear. It really like pisses us off and gives us extra fuel.”

Without question, this is the attitude UNC brought into Durham in the regular season finale, when they beat the heavily-favored Blue Devils 94-81 in Mike Krzyzewski’s last game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Can they duplicate that feat this weekend? Obviously, Duke is hoping the game more resembles the first matchup between these teams from back in February, when the Blue Devils controlled the action from the opening tip and won by 20 at the Dean Dome.
The rubber match to top all rubber matches will tip off at approximately 8:49 p.m. ET Saturday on TBS.
The winner gets either Kansas or Villanova in the national championship game on Monday night.
