First place in the NFC West is on the line

Week 6 in the NFL gets started with a tense NFC West rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.

This is a classic “no love lost” matchup between these two teams as they’ve had several iconic battles over the years. Tonight will add another chapter to the rivalry as first place in the division is on the line with the 49ers coming in at 2-3 and the Seahawks owning a 3-2 record.

This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and any gambling picks you have as the lines below are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

49ers vs. Seahawks

  • Spread: SF -3.5
  • O/U: 48.5
  • SF ML: -194
  • SEA ML: +162

Holder’s picks: SF -3.5, Over 48.5, SF ML

While both clubs have their fair share of injuries, Seattle’s defense is down several key players and the team is playing its third game in 11 days. Also, I think the Seahawks’ 3-0 start was slightly misleading as they beat the Broncos in Bo Nix’s first start, the Patriots in overtime and the Dolphins in Miami’s first game without Tua Tagovailoa. In other words, I think the 49ers are the better team despite them having a worse record.

For the injury report, San Francisco has ruled defensive lineman Jordan Elliot (knee), linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf), safety Talanoa Hufanga (wrist) and kicker Jake Moody (right ankle) out while wide receiver Chris Conley (oblique) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (knee) are questionable. Meanwhile, Seattle will be without defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring), edge rusher Uchenna Nwosu (thigh) and cornerback Riq Woolen (ankle). Also, edge rushers Derick Hall (foot) and Boye Mafe (knee) and free safety Julian Love (hamstring) are questionable.
