Tim Tebow’s comeback story will not have a Hollywood ending. On Tuesday, Tebow was a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ initial roster cuts.
Tebow struggled in Jacksonville’s preseason opener, whiffing on a couple of blocks in limited action. Of course, this was all new territory for Tebow because he was making the switch from quarterback to tight end.
Even though Tebow’s attempt to become an NFL tight end was cut short, he released a heartfelt message on his Twitter account about this opportunity.
“Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks,” Tebow wrote. “I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream.”
Additionally, Tebow thanked the Jaguars for giving him the chance to once again pursue a career in the NFL.
“Thank you to the Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey,” Tebow tweeted. “And we know that…God works all things together for good. Romans 8:28.”

Some fans thought Tebow would make it until the final roster cuts for the Jaguars because of his connection with Urban Meyer. That obviously wasn’t the case though.
Tebow hasn’t definitively said that he’s done pursuing a career in the NFL, but his tweets made it seem like he’s ready to move on from that chapter of his life.
