Tiger Woods’ opening round at the Masters went about as well as anyone could’ve imagined. On Thursday, he opened up the tournament with a 1-under 71.
Unfortunately, the second round at Augusta National hasn’t been too kind to Woods. He’s already 3-over for this round, which puts him to 2-over for the tournament.
Woods was wide right off the tee on the first hole of the day. Though he had a chance to save par with his short game, the 15-time major champion had to ultimately settle for a bogey.
After failing to take advantage of the par-5 2nd, Woods missed a short putt on the 3rd hole for par. It was a brutal miss considering his bump and run strategy on the previous shot got him so close to the hole.

It’s not all bad news for Woods. Although he’s off to a rough start, the reality is the conditions at Augusta National this Friday aren’t good for anyone.
With the projected cut line dropping by the minute, Woods just needs to minimize the damage today so he can keep on playing through the weekend.
