Every golf fan in the world wants to know if Tiger Woods will be on the course when the Masters tees off on Thursday morning.
Earlier Tuesday morning, he spoke with the media and suggested that – as of right now – he’ll be playing. “As of right now, I feel like I am going to play,” Woods said.
While it certainly sounds like Woods will be playing this week, there is still one major concern. Speaking with the media earlier today, he said walking is still the most difficult part for him.
Here’s what he said, via Golf Digest:
“I can hit it just fine. I don’t have any qualms about what I can do physically from a golf standpoint,” Woods said. “It’s now walking is the hard part. This is normally not an easy walk to begin with. Now, given the conditions that my leg is in, it gets even more difficult..”
While the walking will be a challenge, Woods said he’ll be out on the course if he thinks he can compete at the highest level.
“I love competing, and I feel like if I can still compete at the highest level, I’m going to,” Woods said. “And if I feel like I can still win, I’m going to play. But if I feel like I can’t, then you won’t see me out here. You guys know me better than that.”
