Tiger Woods is playing the 2022 Masters.
That in itself is pretty miraculous. Woods is just a little more than a year removed from a serious single-car accident in which he almost lost a leg. But after months of rehab and physical therapy, the 15-time major champion is able to play.
Woods is reportedly hitting the ball well at Augusta National. However, he was seen with a bit of a limp on Wednesday.
Uh oh. Tiger Woods walking with a bit of a limp today that we didn’t see earlier in the week. 😞 pic.twitter.com/reGRw24P6l

That doesn’t look good, but those in the golf world aren’t too concerned.
Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger had more on his practice round:
Sure, he had a slight limp, a “hitch in his giddy-up,” as one patron mused. And, yes, he flashed that wiggle. But the most noticeable issue: When walking down a steep slope, Woods moved with a noticeable hitch to take as much weight off the right leg.
Woods is set to tee off shortly after 10:30 a.m. E.T. on Thursday.
Many are expecting him to play well, limp and all.
Asked Fred Couples what he thought about Tiger’s game after playing 18 total holes with him. Namely, how it compares to ‘18 and ‘19 practice rounds.
Long pause.
“Honestly, he looks exactly the same…it’s a miraculous thing.”

IMO @TigerWoods will contend if the putter is working. He doesn’t care about pain/discomfort and clearly is hitting it well (I saw firsthand Monday). He’ll sacrifice a little pain and limp for another jacket.

One thing is certain: golf fans are pumped to have him back.
