Augusta National finally caught up with Tiger Woods as he hoped to get back into contention on moving day.
The 15-time major champion ran out of gas down the stretch and saw his chances of winning another green jacket dissipate. Woods came to the Masters without having played competitive golf in over 500 days.
For the fans, just seeing Tiger back on the course is a win. However, following his first-round one-under, 71, it certainly seemed like some old school Tiger Woods magic might be on hand.
Unfortunately, he struggled on both Friday and Saturday and now sits well off the lead. His third round was a struggled from the very beginning, bogeying his very first hole.
He three-putted on three holes and had a four-putt on one hole in arguably the worst putting performance of his career. Tiger sat at four-over on the day and five-over for the tournament following a bogey on No. 11.

He followed that up with back-to-back birdies to get back to three-over par for the tournament. Unfortunately, he came unraveled on the final three holes, carding two bogies and a double-bogey.
He finished his day at seven-over for the tournament – 18 shots back of the leader, Scottie Scheffler.
Woods won’t be winning the Masters this year, but it’s a miracle he’s even playing – and made the cut – in the first place.
