With Davante Adams no longer in the picture, the Green Bay Packers desperately need to find a way to improve their depth chart at wide receiver.
That being said, Brad Spielberger of Pro Football Focus believes the Packers should call the Seattle Seahawks to see if they’d be willing to part ways with D.K. Metcalf.
“D.K. Metcalf is a guy worth making a phone call about,” Spielberger said on The Ari Meirov NFL Show.
There’s no denying this would be a blockbuster trade, but there’s no indication at this time that Green Bay will be able to acquire Metcalf. That’s why fans aren’t very confident that a deal will get done.
“Stop getting my hopes up , the Packers crush my hopes and dreams every time the playoffs hit, I don’t need it happening in the offseason too,” a Green Bay fan tweeted.

“Pffft it wont happen,” one fan said. “Cant remember the last time packers made a trade to add a player like this. Anything is possible.”

It’s important to note that Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team is trying to get a contract extension done for Metcalf.
“It’s really important to us,” Carroll said about Metcalf. “We love him. He maybe will go down as one of the great draft picks we’ve ever had here. We are going to do everything we can to get it done.”
If the two sides can’t agree to an extension before the start of the 2022 season, maybe the Seahawks will consider a trade. For now, Metcalf seems to be enjoying himself in Seattle.
