The Tigers are 5-6 in their last 11 games under Coach O, and that won’t be tolerated among the fan base, even when you have a national title on your resume. In fact, we’re already seeing media speculation about who might replace Orgeron if he has to be dismissed.
Fisher, of course, is a former Tigers assistant and a rumored candidate at LSU for years. Malzahn, meanwhile, spent eight seasons at Auburn before getting fired and resurfacing in Orlando.
What’s Jimbo Fisher’s asking price?
How quickly can the Gus Bus get to LSU?
And is Bob Stoops really content with FOX Sports?
These are the questions Scott Woodward needs to be asking, with Ed Orgeron shifting to the hot seat.

Of course, Fisher is signed to an incredibly lucrative long-term contract in College Station, and who knows how Malzahn feels about going back to the SEC West so soon. Neither is a guarantee, should LSU pursue them.
WRAL’s Joe Giglio offered another interesting name as a potential Coach O replacement: Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who was LSU’s passing game coordinator during that 2019 championship season.
They will try to hire Joe Brady. I suspect he stays in the NFL

Of course, LSU still has 11 games to play this season, so there’s time for Orgeron to win some games and calm things down. The Tigers will almost assuredly beat McNeese State and Central Michigan the next two weeks.
After that though, nothing is easy, with an entire slate of SEC contests awaiting them.
