For week’s it has looked like Georgia would be the frontrunner to recruit five-star 2023 quarterback Arch Manning. But one recruiting outlet believes that a new team is now the one to beat in the race for his letter of intent.
According to Jeremy Crabtree of On3 Recruiting, Manning is now tipped to join the Texas Longhorns. Per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Longhorns have a 39.6-percent chance of landing him.
Georgia isn’t even in second place in this prediction model. Alabama comes in as a narrow second place with a 33.1-percent chance to get him. The Bulldogs come in third with a 18.5-percent chance.
Ole Miss is a distant fourth with a 4.3-percent chance. No other team has better than a 1.3-percent chance of signing the Manning scion.

Arch Manning is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. He has a perfect rating – a feat matched by only a few prospects in college football history.
It isn’t just his last name that has had just about every top program in college football banging down his door. He’s been playing quarterback at a high level since he was a freshman at Isidore Newman High School and got the starting job as a freshman. Not even Manning’s Super Bowl-winning uncles were able to achieve that.
It may not be an exaggeration to say that Manning may hold the entire college football world in his hands. And if he goes to Texas… the program may never be the same.
Do you think the Longhorns will get Arch Manning?
