The first round of the 2022 NFL draft kicks off in just over 36 hours, but the Jacksonville Jaguars have been on the clock for months.
Just a year after selecting Trevor Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick, the Jaguars once again earned the top selection. Immediately after the 2021 season came to an end, it seemed like former Michigan star Aidan Hutchinson would be the top pick.
However, throughout the pre-draft process, another name started getting connected to the Jaguars. Georgia standout pass rusher Travon Walker is now the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick.
According to the latest odds from Caesars, Walker has a significant advantage over Hutchinson.

Just last week, ESPN’s Todd McShay said all of the intel he’s gathered up until this point suggests the Jaguars will take Walker.
“All the intel I’ve gathered points to Georgia edge rusher Travon Walker — not Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson — as the No. 1 overall pick for the Jaguars,” he said. “The belief around the league is Jacksonville prefers the upside and traits of Walker over the proven production, motor and leadership that Hutchinson brings to the table. And it is nearly a lock that one of them will come off the board first.”
The first round of the 2022 NFL draft kicks off 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday night. ESPN, NFL Network and ABC all broadcast the event.
Will Walker be the No. 1 pick?
