Earlier this offseason, the Washington Football team released tight end Thaddeus Moss after one season with the team.
He didn’t have to wait very long for his next NFL opportunity, though. The Cincinnati Bengals claimed the son of NFL legend Randy Moss, who was re-united with his college quarterback – Joe Burrow.
Unfortunately, he won’t be playing for the Bengals this season. According to a report from Bengals reporter Ben Baby, the Bengals announced four cuts on Tuesday afternoon.
Moss was among them.

When Burrow and Moss played together at LSU in 2019, Moss caught 47 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns. The due helped the Tigers win the national championship, thanks to Moss’ emergence during the team’s playoff run.
After going undrafted during the 2020 NFL draft, he signed with Washington as a free agent.
Just hours earlier today, the Bengals released 2017 seventh-round pick Mason Schreck. It seemed like Moss would make the team after that move, but head coach Zac Taylor and company had other ideas.
Now he’ll hit the open market where he has the opportunity to land with a new team.
