The Texans will reportedly hold onto their bookend offensive tackle, Laremy Tunsil. On Tuesday, Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson shared that Houston is expected to keep Tunsil in H-Town.
“Texans are expected to keep Pro Bowl left offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil in place for next season,” Wilson tweeted. Adding, “He had been the subject of some unprompted exploratory trade calls from other teams, but Texans moving forward with Tunsil.”

Tunsil’s name had been floated in trade rumors in the lead up to the offseason. However, now it looks like the two-time Pro Bowl LT won’t be going anywhere.
Tunsil played in just five games last season, but prior to that the former first-round pick of the Dolphins put together back-to-back years of stellar play. Earning a pair of Pro Bowl nods after being traded to Houston.
The 27-year-old is inarguably the best offensive lineman the Texans have. And might just be the best player on the entire roster as it stands. Tunsil’s presence in the trenches should only help a young quarterback like Davis Mills going forward.
In six years in the NFL, the Ole Miss product has yet to play a full season. But when he’s on the field, he’s more than earned his keep.
