We’re a little more than 24 hours away from tipoff at the NCAA Tournament national championship game.
No. 1 seed Kansas and No. 8 seed North Carolina will play for a national championship at the Final Four in New Orleans on Monday night.
The tipoff time is a late one: 9:20 p.m. E.T.
This is nothing new for the college basketball world, but every year, fans seem to forget. And no one, especially those living on the East Coast, is happy about it.
Why the hell is the tip off at 9:20 Monday? 😒

Scheduled Tweet: EST remains the absolute worst time zone for sports.

Monday’s game tips at 9:20?! 💀 (been like that several years but has to change)

9:20 pm EST tip. Absolutely ridiculous. These late tips/kick offs are a joke. How is a 7 year old supposed to watch his team then make school Tuesday morning? #TBS #RockChalk

It’s a fair point, but TV executives are going to put the game in the best possible window for ratings. Unfortunately, for a college basketball game, that’s going to be 9 p.m.
Kansas is a favorite heading into Monday night.
Kansas opened as 3.5-point favorites over #UNC. That spread has already risen to 4.5.
9:20 pm tip on Monday night in the Big Easy. TBS.
