Amazon Prime Video has zeroed in on who it wants as a feature reporter/analyst for its Thursday Night Football coverage next season, and the target will most likely surprise you.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, Amazon wants former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch to be a part of its football coverage.
Lynch would be part of a more relaxed studio-type show, conducting interviews with players. It would be an interesting choice considering how funny he can be.
Judging by the responses, the sports world would be more than OK with Lynch landing this gig.
“Oh my god yes,” one fan said in response to the news.

It’s safe to say NFL fans are on board with seeing Lynch in this role.

Lynch appeared on ESPN’s Manningcast back in October for a Saints-Seahawks game. He did use some foul language while on the show, but that’s what makes him so unique.
If Amazon wants to put together an elite crew for its Thursday Night Football coverage, hiring notable names like Lynch will certainly help that cause.
We’ll see if Amazon can strike a deal with Lynch in the coming weeks.
