Betting oddsmakers think he will break 1,000-yard barrier
There are major expectations for new Las Vegas Raiders rookie running back Ashton Jeanty.
The sky is the limit for the Raiders’ No. 6 overall pick of the 2025 draft. The former Boise State is considered the an elite overall rookie prospect and the best running back in a strong rookie class at the position and in fact, many league observers thinks Jeanty is the best overall running back prospect to enter the league in several years.
So, yes, expectations are are high for him and that extends to the betting markets.
According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, the over/under on Jeanty’s 2025 rushing yards is set at 1,050 yards. It’s pretty wild the floor for an incoming player is more than 1,000 yards. There were 13 running backs who eclipsed the 1,050 mark in 2024 and the oddsmakers think Jeanty, who is also the favorite to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, will be among those to do it this season.
You now what? I wouldn’t the take under.
