During the mock game from the Las Vegas Raiders, their safety Lonnie Johnson Jr was carted off with a leg injury that was considered serious

The Las Vegas Raiders played their mock football game for fans in Las Vegas on Saturday. There was a ton of optimism built after the performance of the offense and Geno Smith’s performance.

However, one of the keys to training camp for every NFL team is to stay healthy. While the Raiders have avoided injury so far during training camp, which ended Saturday Night. Rotational safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. had to be carted off the field after an apparent leg injury during the scrimmage.

Pete Carroll spoke about it after the game and explained that the injury could be severe for Johnson Jr.

“I don’t have all the details right now,” coach Pete Carroll said after the practice session. “But it’s significant.”

Johnson tweeted out an update after the game as well.

God got me ‼️

While this is an awful situation for Johnson Jr. on a prove-it deal, it allows fringe players on the roster to step up. NFL is a next-man-up league, and the reserve safeties have to find a way to make plays when they get on the field.
