Tough stat plagued 2023 offense
This will be a season of transition for the Las Vegas Raiders’ running game in the 2024 season.
The team will have anew primary tailback for the first time since 2018 as the five-season Josh Jacobs’ era is over for the Raiders. Jacobs, of course, signed with the Green Bay Packers in free agency.
The Raiders plan to use third-year player Zamir White and free-agent addition Alexander Mattison. Las Vegas could also draft a tailback.
New offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, the Raiders need to improve the ground game, especially late in games when they have a lead. According to a recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp, the Raiders had the fifth worst run EPA in the second half with a lead in 2023.

So, that is something Getsy needs to work ob. White, who started the final four games of the season with Jacobs injured, did show he can close put games, so there is hope Las Vegas can improve in that area.
