That wasn’t the case in 2024
The Las Vegas Raiders were bad, plan and simple, in the 2024 season.
They were famous for falling behind by double digits in games and they were non competitive for much of the season that ended with a 4-13 record and the dismissal of head coach Antonio Pierce after one full season on the job.
The Raiders also didn’t have any convincing victories in the 2024 season. According to a recent tweet from NFL analyst Warren Sharp, the Raiders were one of three teams (the New York Giants and Chicago Bears were the others) not to win a game last season in which they never trailed. Here’s the full list:
games won without ever trailing:
7 – GB, BAL, PHI
6 – DET, HOU
5 – BUF, WAS, TB, NO, MIN, CIN
4 – KC, DEN, ARI, LAC, MIA
3 – SEA, SF, CAR
2 – IND, LAR, PIT, DAL, NE
1 – CLE, TEN, JAX, ATL, NYJ
0 – NYG, LV, CHI*2024 regular season

That’s pretty wild. Perhaps under new head coach Pete Carroll, the 2-025 Raiders will have the ability to start fast, keep a lead and finish off with a complete victory.
