Website expects big jump from 2nd-year center
There are a lot of reasons to be excited about the immediate and long-term future of the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense and one of them is young offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson.
The 2024 second-round pick from Oregon flashed at both guard and center as a rookie and he looks like he will be a long-time fixture and anchor on the Raiders’ offensive line.
And he’s been getting noticed. Recently, Pro Football Focus looked players at each offensive position who they think take the biggest leap forward during the 2025 season. Powers-Johnson was the site’s league-wide choice at center. Here’s the full list:

It’s cool that Powers-Johnson ahs these expectations and I believe it’s warranted. He’s a smart, tough, skilled player who should benefit from a healthy offseason and extended practice time at center. I too expect a big leap from this player in 2025.
