Perhaps this decade’s draft will fair better for Raiders
As we move away from the 2024 NFL draft, here is yet another reminder of the importance of strong drafting.
The Las Vegas Raiders, of course, didn’t draft well for much of last decade. One glaring way it showed was the lack of drafted players the Raiders doled out. According to a recent tweet, by Over The Cap, the Raiders had the third worst rate in the NFL spanning 2011-19 in terms of giving players second contracts.
The teams that were the worst
1. Browns (1.4X)
2. Seahawks (1.5X)
3. Jets- (1.8X)
4. Raiders (2x)
5. Bucs (2X)— Jason_OTC (@Jason_OTC) April 23, 2024
Perhaps this decade will produce more success in this year. The 2021 draft class gives hope as Malcolm Koonce, Nate Hobbs, Divine Deablo and Tre’von Moehrig could be in line for extensions soon.
