Both Raiders and Seahawks struggled protecting the quarterback in 2024
The Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive line struggled to protect the quarterback in 2024.
The team, including new starting quarterback Geno Smith, hopes that changed this season and protection is much improved. And Smith is due for some better protection.
Not only did Smith’s new offensive line have a difficult time keeping the quarterback upright in 2024, but so did his former team.
A recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp both the Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks, who traded Smith to the Raiders for a third-round draft pick in March, both teams were among the league leaders in sacks allowed.
Seattle was tied for the allowing the third most sacks with 54, while the Raiders allowed 50 sacks, tied for the seventh most.

So, there will be a lot of motivation from both the offensive line and the quarterback to get better in this area in the 2025 season.
