The Las Vegas Raiders‘ offensive line will be a young group, with Alex Cappa and Kolton Miller the true veterans. One of the young starters on the offensive line is DJ Glaze, who is coming into his second season out of Maryland.

Glaze was a solid player for the Silver and Black in 2024. He was thrust into the right tackle job after injuries and held down the spot. While there were some growing pains for Glaze, his performance as a rookie displays that there is a chance for a leap to good right tackle.

One way to achieve this is by working with Maxx Crosby every day in practice. Crosby is the best pass rusher for the Raiders and lines up on Glaze’s matchup consistently in practice. Glaze said he welcomes the challenge of improving his performance against Crosby.

“Yeah, I love it. I love it. It’s like a game competition every day. So, like you said, it’s going to do nothing but get me ready. I know Maxx [Crosby] kind of looks for me to push him. I look for him to push me 100%. He’s one of the best players in the league. So, I love going against him. I know it’s only going to make me better in the end, get me ready for the season. So, I look forward to each day.”

All that work against the All-Pro defensive end will maximize the potential for Glaze. If he can find a way to block Crosby and have good days of practice, it will help him be ready for other edge rushers across the league.
