Las Vegas might find a willing and desperate trade partner at No. 48
NFL Media has reported that Day 2 of the draft on Friday could be a hot spot for the second wave of quarterbacks.
Perhaps the Las Vegas Raiders could benefit.
The report stated that Stanford’s Davis Miles, Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond and Florida’s Kyle Trask will be available in the second round, and that the Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers may all interested in picking one of them.
The Bears, Saints and Bucs all pick after the Raiders at No. 48 in the second round, and the Vikings don’t have a pick in then at all.
So if any of those teams want to make a move for one of the three quarterbacks, the Raiders could find a willing (and desperate) trade partner at No. 48. that would allow them to grab more second-day picks.
Of course, the Raiders could always take Mills, Mond or Trask at No. 48 themselves, but that would be a surprise for sure.
