Raiders tied for the division lead
Yesterday was nearly a perfect day for the Las Vegas Raiders. Not only did they get a huge convincing win against a division rival in the Denver Broncos, but the Raiders also got some help from the Ravens who handily beat the Los Angeles Chargers. That puts Las Vegas in a tie for the AFC West lead, which was a bit of an afterthought coming off of the last two weeks.
However, the Kansas City Chiefs did take care of business in Washington, so the weekend could have been better for the Silver and Black, but I don’t think you’ll find many people in Raider Nation complaining.
Los Angeles Chargers 6 Baltimore Ravens 34
Justin Herbert, QB: 22/39, 195 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Austin Ekeler, RB: 10 total touches, 55 total yards
Keenan Allen, WR: 5 catches, 50 yards
Mike Williams, WR: 2 catches, 27 yards

From start to finish, this was a dominating effort by the Ravens. They scored on their first possession of the game and never looked back, while Baltimore’s defense kept Los Angeles to just 208 total yards of offense.
Herbert couldn’t get anything going in the air and the Chargers only managed 26 yards on the ground, which explains why they didn’t score until their sixth drive of the game and were shut out the rest of the way.
Los Angeles’ defense was slightly better as Lamar Jackson only went for 167 passing yards and was intercepted twice. However, the Ravens did run for 187 yards and nearly five yards a carry as a team and played from ahead the entire game, so they didn’t really need to throw the ball.
The Chargers have a bye next week and play host to the struggling Patriots on Halloween.

Slow starts have been the theme of the season for the Chiefs and have even cost them a few games. After a drop by Hill led to a Mahomes interception, and a terrible decision by Mahomes to try and salvage a busted run play led to another one, Washington had a 13-10 lead at halftime. Then, Kansas City scored touchdowns on three out of their first four second-half drives and the defense stiffened up to create a three-possession blowout.
The Chiefs outgained the Football Team 499 total yards to 276, and the Football Team never even took a snap in the red zone, so literally, the only reason this game was ever close was because of the Chiefs’ miscues.
Washington did have success on the ground though, rushing for 94 yards and 4.9 per attempt as a team. Also, this was the second week in a row that Kansas City was without Chris Jones, and the second week in a row they didn’t register a sack. Granted, they did have seven quarterback hits so it’s not as if the pass rush was completely nonexistent.
The Chiefs head to Nashville for a bout with the Titans next week, who will be coming off a short week after taking on the Bills tonight.
