Chargers and Chiefs joined the Raiders in the winner’s circle while the Broncos were on the outside looking in
The Las Vegas Raiders entered the winner’s circle for the first time this season. However, the Broncos remained the only winless team in the AFC East as the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0.
Chiefs 26, Bengals 25
Patrick Mahomes- 18/25, 151 yards 2 TDs, 2 INTs
Isaiah Pacheco- 19 ATTs, 90 yards
Rashee Rice-5 catches, 75 yards
The Chiefs pulled out a tough one against the Cincinnati Bengals 26-25 on a late field goal from Harrison Butker. Mahomes struggled for most of the day throwing two interceptions but got bailed out by a late penalty on the final drive. The Chiefs’ defense saved the day by returning a fumble for a touchdown. The Chiefs now face the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday night.
Chargers 26, Panthers 3
Justin Herbert- 14/20, 130 yards 2 TDs, 1 INTs
JK Dobbins- 17 ATTs, 131 yards, 1 TD
Quinten Johnston- 5 catches, 51 yards, 2 TDs
Denzel Perryman- 5 tackles, 1 sack
The Chargers handled business against an inferior team beating down the Carolina Panthers 26-3. Jim Harbaugh has turned Justin Herbert into Alex Smith with Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins having 35 carries between them. Dobbins went for 131 yards and a touchdown and former Raiders Perryman led the way on defense with five tackles and a sack.
Steelers 13, Broncos 6
Bo Nix- 20/35, 246 yards 0 TDs, 2 INTs
Jamal Williams- 11 carries, 17 yards
Josh Reynolds- 4 catches, 93 yards
Zach Allen- 2 tackles, 1 sack
The Broncos continue to struggle on offense with Bo Nix going through rookie growing pains. He threw two interceptions with an ugly pass inside the 10 that cost the Broncos points during a good drive. They struggle to run the ball but the defense surprisingly keeps them in football games. Sean Payton made jokes about baiting the Raiders into not picking Nix, but Raiders fans are fine with Brock Bowers now.
