Shannon Sharpe of Undisputed knows who he wants to coach the Los Angeles Lakers now that Frank Vogel is out.
Sharpe spoke on Monday morning’s edition of Undisputed and confirmed that he’d like Mark Jackson to get the gig.
“I’m going with Mark Jackson,” Sharpe said. “I think he deserves another opportunity. I think he’s the foundation piece for what we see the current Warriors are today with Steph, Klay, and Draymond. He’s a great communicator. He played the game at a very high level, Skip.”

Jackson coached the Golden State Warriors for three seasons (2011-14) and led them to the playoffs in two of those seasons. Golden State won a round in 2013 before losing in the second round and then lost in the first round in 2014.
Vogel was let go early Monday morning when the Lakers season came to a close. They were supposed to be contending for an NBA title this season but ended up missing the playoffs altogether.
This will likely be a very comprehensive coaching search as the Lakers will want to make sure they hire the coach who’s the best fit.
