Over the course of the four rounds at Augusta National this weekend, Scottie Scheffler appeared to be as cool as a cucumber.
The 2022 Masters champion was unflappable, making big shot after big shot, while appearing to not care about what was going on around him.
Following his win on Sunday night, though, Scheffler had a pretty stunning admission.
Sunday morning, Scheffler had an anxiety attack and could’t stop crying. He said he thought he couldn’t handle the pressure of being the leader at The Masters on Sunday.
Meredith Scudder, Scottie’s wife, helped calm him down.
Scheffler said he cried like a baby this morning because he was so stressed out. Said he told his wife he didn’t think he was ready for the moment. Wow.

You never know what’s going on underneath the surface with someone.
Respect to Scottie for opening up about his Sunday morning struggles. They led to a pretty great place on Sunday night.
