NFL teams across the league are trimming their rosters this weekend ahead of the 85-player deadline on Tuesday.
The New Orleans Saints have reportedly cut a couple of notable veteran players in anticipation of the deadline.
According to reports, the Saints have parted ways with veteran defensive lineman Noah Spence and veteran cornerback Prince Amukamara.
ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett confirmed the news on Sunday night.
“Veteran CB Prince Amukamara is also among the Saints’ first round of five roster cuts, per source. Two experienced veterans in the group — possibly giving them a chance to catch on elsewhere,” he reported on Sunday.

Spence played collegiately at Ohio State and Eastern Kentucky. He spent the first three seasons of his career in Tampa Bay and played for Washington in 2019. Spence had been with the Saints since the 2019 season.
Amukamara, meanwhile, was a first round pick out of Nebraska in 2011. He signed with the Saints earlier this month.
Now, both players will reportedly be looking for new NFL homes.
