Raiders’ teammates honor the Las Vegas center
Rodney Hudson doesn’t play a sexy position and he doesn’t say much, yet he is the heart and soul of the Las Vegas Raiders.
That was evident once again on Tuesday as the team announced that Hudson has won the Commitment to Excellence award for the 2020 season. It is the fourth straight year that Hudson has won the award, which is a team record.
Hudson signed with the Raiders as a free agent in 2015 after he spent four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, and he is one of the Raiders’ best all-time free-agent additions.
The Commitment to Excellence award honors a Raiders’ player whose hard work and commitment to excellence shines on and off the field.
On Monday, Hudson was snubbed as he was not named to the AFC 2020 Pro Bowl team — the Raiders are represented by tight end Darren Waller and running back Josh Jacobs.
Still, Hudson should be on the Pro Bowl team as well. Perhaps this honor by his teammates eases the pain of the Pro Bowl snub for Hudson.
