Veteran NBA big man Robin Lopez had the best tweet about the league’s free agency period on Friday evening.
The Washington Wizards had a pretty eventful Friday evening. Washington signed sharpshooter Davis Bertans to an $80 million extension and agreed to a one-year with Lopez, who’s leaving the Milwaukee Bucks.
That wasn’t the biggest news of the night in D.C., though. Five-time All-Star point guard John Wall has demanded a trade. Wall, who hasn’t played in two years due to an Achilles injury, appears to be upset about the team discussing a Russell Westbrook trade.
So, Wall reportedly wants out. However, it remains to be seen if the Wizards will be able to act on that request. Wall and his massive contract aren’t very tradable, especially with the 30-year-old point guard coming off an injury.
Lopez had an incredible reaction to the news on Friday night. His tweet about joining the Wizards has gone viral.

Hey, at least he’s being honest.
Regardless of what happens with Wall, Lopez should be a good locker room addition in D.C. He brings a veteran presence and some comedy relief to a locker room that will need it.
