Just last week, the football world learned that former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III joined ESPN as an analyst.
After a successful college football and NFL career, RGIII decided it was time for something new. ESPN wasted no time putting the former quarterback to work on college football.
On Thursday night, Griffin made one of his first big predictions for the 2021 season. The ESPN college football crew was tasked with predicting who will win the Heisman Trophy this year.
RGIII, a former Heisman Trophy-winner himself, knows what it takes to win the award. During the show on Thursday night, he predicted Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral will win the Heisman.

“I’m going with the most fun to watch gunslinger in all of college football: Matt Corral,” Griffin said on the show. “I think he’s going to fix his turnover issues and he’s going to go out and lead Ole Miss to being a serious contender in the College Football Playoff.”
Corral was certainly one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the country during the 2020 season. Last year, he racked up 3,337 yards passing with 29 touchdowns through the air.
While he led an explosive Ole Miss offense, he also accounted for 14 interceptions on the season.
If he can clean up some of his turnovers, Corral could be in the Heisman conversation.
