The potential No. 1 pick in this year’s draft will not be in Las Vegas to greet Roger Goodell when his name is called. Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker has declined his invitation to the NFL Draft.
According to Chip Towers of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Walker will hang out with his family and friends at the Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta on Thursday night.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen an elite prospect decline an invitation to the draft. Last year, Trevor Lawrence stayed at home to celebrate that moment with his family.

Walker has been heavily linked to the Jacksonville Jaguars over the past month.
During his final season of college football, Walker had 33 total tackles and six sacks. He improved his stock at the NFL Combine, running a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash.
If Walker reaches his full potential, he could blossom into an elite edge rusher.
We’ll find out on Thursday night if Walker will be the first player taken off the board.
