Report: Shailene Woodley’s Plan For NFL Season Revealed

August 29, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Shailene Woodley on the red carpet.

Aaron Rodgers was the talk of the NFL offseason due to his reported dispute with the leadership of the Green Bay Packers. However, he also garnered plenty of attention this spring and summer because of his engagement to actress Shailene Woodley.

The couple confirmed their engagement back in February and were often seen together on social media throughout the next few months. But, now that the 2021 NFL season is just around the corner, Rodgers and Woodley will have to go their separate ways, at least for the time being.

Rodgers, 37, headed back to Green Bay earlier this summer after smoothing things over with the Packers. Woodley, 29, traveled to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she’s reportedly on set, shooting for the comedy movie Robots.

Although their careers have sent them to different parts of the country, the couple still has a plan to be together during the NFL season. After Woodley is done filming, she plans to support her fiancé throughout the Packers campaign.

“When she wraps, she plans to support him throughout his season,” a source close to Rodgers told E! News. “They don’t like to be apart for too long and are looking forward to being back in the same place again.”

Woodley has admitted that she isn’t a huge fan of football, but does appreciate Packers’ games because she has someone to root for. However, she acknowledges that she’s no expert when it comes to the X’s and the O’s or the terminology of the game.

“But it is a whole new world, learning all of the different—I still am always, ‘Oh, you scored a goal.’ He’s like, ‘It’s a touchdown.’ Or I’ll be like, ‘You crossed the line,’ and he’s like, ‘It’s a yard,’ or whatever,” Woodley explained to Seth Meyers, per E! News.

Woodley has just a few weeks to study up on her lingo before the 2021 NFL season kicks off. Rodgers and the Packers begin the year on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 12.
