Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey limped off the field during Monday’s practice, according to a report.
Humphrey was participating in a one-on-one drill when he slipped, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. He had a tough time getting up and eventually limped his way to the locker room. The All-Pro didn’t return to practice.
“Ravens Pro Bowl CB Marlon Humphrey left practice early after appearing to slip while in a one on one drill,” Zrebiec said on Twitter. “Humphrey stayed down for a bit and then limped to locker room.”
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear Humphrey is dealing with a serious injury. Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, Humphrey has a “mild sprain.” The injury is not being considered serious. The All-Pro defensive back shouldn’t be out too long, as a result.

This is a positive development in what could have been a very scary situation for the Ravens. Marlon Humphrey is one of the best defensive backs in the league.
Humphrey was sensational last season. He totaled 82 tackles, had one pick and forced eight fumbles. The Ravens expect the former Alabama star to replicate last season’s performance later this year.
Baltimore will play in its second of three preseason games this Saturday when it takes on the Carolina Panthers. The Ravens will aim to move to 2-0 in the preseason after beating the New Orleans Saints last weekend.
