Solo, 40, was taken into custody in a Walmart parking lot and transported to Forsyth County jail for processing. The retired goalkeeper was booked for DWI, resisting arrest and misdemeanor child abuse.
Solo, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion, has faced trouble with the law in the past. Back in 2014, she was arrested for allegedly assaulting her sister and 17-year-old nephew. During her arrest, she allegedly berated a police officer and threatened to “kick his ass.”
Solo is married to former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens, with whom she has a pair of two-year-old twin daughters.
If convicted on these charges, Solo could spend time behind bars.
