The Dolphins already have a young quarterback on their roster in Tua Tagovailoa, but that won’t stop them from pursuing Watson. After all, Yahoo Sports insider Charles Robinson recently called the Dolphins the frontrunners for Watson.
Florio believes the Dolphins are ready to make an offer for Watson, but the Texans have unrealistic demands at the moment.
“With Watson, a short-list franchise quarterback Ross has long coveted, now available, Ross wants to get him,” Florio wrote. “The Texans, however, continue to have unrealistic expectations.”
The latest report states that Houston wants three first-round picks and a pair of second-round picks for Watson. That’s a really high asking price for a player who is currently dealing with legal trouble.
Do the Dolphins want Deshaun Watson? The man who signs the checks definitely does. https://t.co/oCrrC7wS0r

For now, NFL fans shouldn’t expect a blockbuster deal involving Watson to actually go down.
Per NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Texans plan to keep Watson on their final 53-man roster. He’ll remain inactive every week until his off-field situation gets sorted out.
Whenever this legal situation for Watson clears up, teams like the Dolphins might have a chance at acquiring him.
