On Saturday morning, ESPN’s College GameDay made its return to televisions around the country – signaling football is finally back.
During the first half hour of the show, the crew wasted no time predicting a major upset. When talking about the looming Week 2 matchup between Ohio State and Oregon, it was host Rece Davis who dropped the goods.
“What did you say, get out in front of stuff?” Davis asked Kirk Herbstreit. “Yeah, get out in front of stuff,” Herbie responded. That’s when the host of the show dropped the biggest upset news of the morning.
“I’m not assuming Oregon loses in Columbus. Oregon is going to win in Columbus,” he said.
Check it out.
High praise for the Ducks. 👀

Ohio State will likely enter that game as the heavy favorite. However, Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal has built the Ducks program into one of the strongest in the country.
Ohio State was supposed to play at Oregon last season, but that matchup was canceled due to the pandemic. Will the Ducks use that as motivation when the team travels to Columbus later this fall?
ESPN’s Matchup Predictor doesn’t love the Ducks’ chances. It gives Oregon just a 14-percent chance of taking down the Buckeyes in Week 2.
Oregon and Ohio State are slated for a 12:00 p.m. ET kickoff from Ohio Stadium.
