During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, former NFL linebacker Ray Lewis shared an awesome story involving Peyton Manning.
One year at a Pro Bowl event, Manning’s wife told Lewis that her husband studies his game. From that moment on, Lewis decided that he would build a film room in his house.
“His wife was so cool. She’s amazing. She was like, ‘He studies you – all day, every day.’ I was like, ‘Wow, I need to change my game.’ So I started studying him more. I built an entire room in my house just so I can watch film,” Lewis said. “So I became a guy who wanted to know everything.”
That’s a pretty awesome story.

Lewis added that his attention to detail played a huge role in every big matchup.
“When you get to play those chess matches against Brady and Peyton, it’s the smallest things ever that’ll decide the wins and losses,” Lewis said.
Manning and Lewis were certainly elite at reading the field. It’s what made them Hall of Famers.
