We’ve seen a number of high-profile injuries across the NFL since the start of training camp. The Baltimore Ravens are hoping that one suffered this morning by star cornerback Marlon Humphrey doesn’t wind up being too serious.
According to Ravens beat writer Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, the former All-Pro slipped in a one-on-one drill this morning. He “stayed down for a bit and then limped to the locker room.”
Humphrey was a Pro Bowler for the second straight year in 2020, after earning First-Team All-Pro honors in 2019. The former Alabama standout has been a stalwart for Baltimore since going in the first-round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
Through four seasons, he’s missed just three regular season games. In that time, he has 211 career tackles, 2.5 sacks, eight interceptions, and a truly impressive 11 forced fumbles, eight of which came last year alone.

Humphrey played in the Baltimore Ravens’ first preseason game, recording one tackle. The Ravens knocked off the New Orleans Saints, 17-14.
So far, we don’t have any hard information on the extent or severity of the injury. The Baltimore Ravens are expected to be true Super Bowl contenders once again this fall, so hopefully for their sake his issues are relatively minor.
We’ll have more on Marlon Humphrey’s status from today’s Ravens practice as it comes out. The team returns to preseason play on Saturday on the road at the Carolina Panthers.
