The Seattle Seahawks may live to regret releasing Bobby Wagner if they have to face him twice this season.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the All-Pro linebacker and Los Angeles Rams have “mutual interest in doing a deal.”
The #Rams are loading up again? Sources say six-time All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner is visiting them and there is mutual interest in doing a deal. A potential huge defensive addition.

That’s terrifying news for Seattle … and the rest of the NFL.
Two weeks ago, the Seahawks released Wagner to avoid a $20.35 million cap charge. He earned his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl nod with a career-high 170 tackles last season.
Wagner, who turns 32 in June, would join Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey in a star-studded defense that helped the Rams bring home a Lombardi Trophy last season. The California native, who won a Super Bowl title with Seattle during the 2013 campaign, would solidify his hometown team as a leading candidate to repeat.
The Rams’ interest in Wagner appears to have progressed rapidly. On Tuesday, per NBC LA’s Michael J. Duarte, general manager Les Snead said the team “talked about” Wagner and reviewed film to determine if he’d fit their defense.
It’d hardly be surprising if they left that tape breakdown motivated to bring the long-time NFC West adversary to Los Angeles.
