Las Vegas hosts Philadelphia on Sunday
With the Week 6 game at the Denver Broncos barely in the books, it’s time to turn our attention to the Las Vegas Raiders’ Week 7 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Raiders host the Eagles on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium with a 1:05 p.m. PT kickoff.
Let’s take an early look at the Eagles:
Eagles’ Record:
Philadelphia is 2-4 after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night. So, the Eagles will be well rested for this game.
Down a tight end:
The Eagles traded longtime stand tight end Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals last week, so they will be down an offensive weapon on Sunday. Starter Dallas Goedert is on the NFL’s COVID-19/reserve list and Jack Stoll is the only other tight end on the roster at this time.
Defending Hurts:
Eagles’ starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has been up and down this season. He threw for a combined 713 yards in Weeks 3, but has thrown for just a combined 313 passing yards in the past two games. What Hurts will the Raiders see this week?

Alabama receiver showdown:
The Raiders’ Henry Ruggs III (a first round pick out of Alabama in 2020) is having a nice second season. The Eagles will counter with rookie DeVonta Smith, their first-round pick this year. Smith has been excellent as a rookie with 27 catches. Both of these players will want to put on a show for each other Sunday.
