LAS VEGAS, NV – The Las Vegas Raiders are less than two weeks from their season opener, but one high-profile offseason acquisition won’t be a part of the history-making event.
NFL Media reports that the Raiders released cornerback Prince Amukamara on Monday. Amukamara was released by the Bears in February and signed with the Raiders in May.
Just got off the phone with #Raiders CB Prince Amukamara who was informed of his release today: “I spoke to Mike Mayock this morning. He said they like where they’re at with the young guys. I respect him. I still want to play. I’ve played in all systems. I can thrive anywhere.”
