
Las Vegas inks cornerback Darien Porter
There’s one to go.
Tuesday, the Las Vegas Raiders closed in on finalizing the signing of their draft class by finalizing a contract for third-round pick, cornerback Darien Porter, who has a chance to playa prominent role right away.
Last Thursday and Friday, the Raiders signed nine of their 11 draft picks. Now, the only unsigned pick is second-round pick, TCU wide receiver Jack Bech. There have been some high second-round picks getting fully guaranteed contracts, which is the first time that has ever happened. So, expect some delays on other second-round picks. But, in the end, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Barring something odd, Bech should be signed by the team the Raiders go to training camp in late July. Every Raiders’ draft pick participated in their rookie minicamp last weekend.
