Would you be in favor of an NBA-style draft lottery for the NFL
In the NFL as lost seasons pile up, fans of teams having a poor season, have one thing to cling onto late in those dreadful seasons —- the draft order.
Many fans find solace after losses toward the end of losing seasons as it positively affects their team’s draft order for the following April. It’s the one good thing about enduring losing seasons.
At least, it would help in the draft. It’s the way of life in the NFL.
But could it change? Recently, there has speculation in the media that perhaps the NFL could adopt a draft lottery system similar to how the NBA does it. Major League baseball just adopted a similar plan.
How would you like it if the NFL did this?
The Raiders drafted sixth this year based on the win/loss formula. A draft lottery could have enhanced the pick all the way to No.1 or dropped them down all the way to No. 18.
So, it’s risky business. Thoughts?
